For Referring Professionals

EMDR therapy offers clinicians a highly effective and evidence-based approach to treating psychological disorders, with a focus on facilitating the processing and resolution of distressing memories and symptoms to promote healing and well-being in clients.

EMDR overview

Not just for trauma anymore!!!

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a structured psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective in not just the treatment of trauma-related disorders, but also anxiety, depression, chronic pain, substance abuse, OCD, and Phobias and more.

Developed by Francine Shapiro in the late 1980s, EMDR integrates elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure therapy, and bilateral stimulation to facilitate the processing and resolution of distressing memories and associated symptoms.

Referrals

We consider your referral the greatest compliment we can receive!

We understand how important it is to refer to people you trust.  We also value and prioritize communication between members of a client’s treatment team for continuity and best clinical outcomes.

*Note for therapists with existing clients who might benefit from EMDR:  it is also possible for you to remain your client’s primary therapist while they participate in EMDR therapy.
